We rented a drag strip so that people of all skill levels could come out and enjoy the day. It was a day to learn for many, who had never been on the track. The more experienced drivers were able to take the time and teach our new racers how to stage and the basics. It didn’t take long before we were all making passes. We had a blast and having a small private event, we made many runs. We had cars from stock to all out race car. We ran no ET, but I will say that we had a couple cars in the 10’s and a few in the mid 11’s. Even if the car ran 20’s we had fun. We had a friend blow out a trailer tire on the way, but he still managed to show with his car. We also had a 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 break a ring gear. You never know what will happen when you race.
